Featuring JP Newman: Founder of Thrive FP and Host of The Fulfillionare Podcast
Before JP Newman became a leader in purpose-driven real estate, he was surrounded by movie stars and studio executives. As Vice President at Sony Pictures, he watched billion-dollar egos lose their humanity over latte temperatures. He saw firsthand how success without humility corrodes character.
“I worked for a guy who had me drive in circles around his psychiatrist’s office so he wouldn’t have to wait more than three minutes,” JP recalled. “He thought he had a brain tumor. I asked if he’d tried meditation—and got fired for it.”
That moment planted a seed: the world didn’t need more noise. It needed more awareness.
When Reagan-era tax reforms decimated his father’s real estate business, JP witnessed both devastation and integrity. His father refused to declare bankruptcy—he repaid every investor, one by one. That example became JP’s blueprint for fiduciary responsibility.
It also made him cautious. He saw how greed and speculation can destroy lives, and how true leadership means protecting others’ trust.
